Course Description

The Bachelor of Islamic Banking and Finance program provides students with strong foundations in Shariah principles and practical skills in Islamic banking and finance. Developed according to the Program Standards: Muamalat and Islamic Finance (MQA), the curriculum covers Islamic financial management, banking operations, regulations, financial products, takaful, and legal and ethical aspects. The program aims to produce graduates who can effectively apply Shariah concepts in today’s financial industry.

Your Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Bachelor in Islamic Banking and Finance (Hons), students will be able to:

  • Design, analyze, and evaluate complex financial products—such as Sukuk (Islamic bonds), Takaful (Islamic insurance), and equity-based financing—to ensure they meet both market needs and Shariah standards
  • Develop the competency to manage the Shariah Audit and Governance frameworks within a financial institution

Admission Requirements

  • Pass in GCE ‘A’ Levels with at least TWO (2) credits inclusive of Islamic studies or Arabic Language OR
  • Diploma in Islamic studies or its equivalent
