Course Description

The Diploma in Shariah Finance equips students with knowledge and skills in Islamic finance and banking, one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. The curriculum, aligned with MQA Program Standards for Islamic Muamalat and Finance, covers Islamic muamalat, finance, banking, risk management, takaful, and financial planning. Students also gain foundational knowledge in business and financial literacy, including business mathematics, accounting, basic economics, and Islamic entrepreneurship.

Your Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Diploma in Usuluddin, students will:

  • Apply core principles of Fiqh Muamalat to distinguish between Shariah-compliant and conventional finance
  • Structure and evaluate key Islamic financial products, such as Takaful
  • Assist in enforcing Shariah compliance and upholding the ethical objectives of finance (Maqasid al-Shariah)
