Two new masters programme enrolment to start in March 2026.
Jamiyah Academy has opened enrolment for its March 2026 intake of Master’s degree programmes offered in collaboration with Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU). The intake reflects a growing interest among adult learners in pursuing structured postgraduate study while remaining based in Singapore.
Over the past few years, Jamiyah Academy has strengthened its higher education offerings, moving beyond foundational and diploma programmes to provide clearer academic progression. The collaboration with UINSU, a public Islamic university in Medan, Indonesia, allows students to enrol in recognised Master’s pathways under university oversight without having to relocate.
Two postgraduate options are available for the upcoming intake.
The Master’s Degree in Al-Qur’an and Tafsir focuses on advanced engagement with Qur’anic sciences. Students examine interpretation methodologies, thematic studies, and contextual analysis. The programme is intended for graduates who wish to move beyond introductory learning and engage more rigorously with the Qur’an at an academic level.
The Master’s Degree in Akhwal Syakhsiyah centres on Islamic personal law and jurisprudence relating to family and personal status matters. It provides structured study in areas that are increasingly relevant within educational, advisory, and community contexts.
The programmes are designed to accommodate working professionals and adult learners. Classes are organised in a format that recognises existing commitments, while maintaining academic standards set by UINSU. Entry requirements include a recognised bachelor’s degree and fulfilment of university criteria.
Interest in postgraduate Islamic studies has grown steadily, particularly among individuals seeking formal qualifications to complement their teaching, counselling, or leadership roles. The March 2026 intake reflects this demand for structured and credible academic pathways within Singapore.
