UNIMEL, or Universiti Islam Melaka, is a private higher learning institution in Malaysia wholly owned by the State Government of Melaka. It was founded in 1994 as the Melaka Islamic College, and was later upgraded to a university college in 2009 before becoming a full-fledged university.
UNIMEL aims to be a "Gateway of Human Psychology Study," as it was the first private Islamic university in Malaysia to focus on psychology at the degree level. It offers a diverse range of programs, including Islamic studies, business, nursing, and information technology. The university also has a growing international student body from countries like Singapore, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.

Jamiyah Singapore formally began its educational partnership with UNIMEL in 2013, launching a Diploma program at Jamiyah Academy in collaboration with UNIMEL.
